Summer classes for high school students

Skidmore's Summer Pre-College Program is a credit-bearing experience for high school students interested in exploring what they could be, study, and do in college. You'll be introduced to an authentic college experience – real classes, real credits, real residential life – with a support system that recognizes you're only just getting started.

Skidmore Pre-College Eligibility

Age/Grade Level Requirements:

Residential students: Must be a rising high school junior or senior residing and 16 or 17 years of age by the Pre-College Program start date. *Students who will be 18 years of age prior to or anytime during the Pre-College Program are not eligible to participate in the program.

Commuting students: Must be a rising high school sophomore, junior, or senior and 15-18 years of age by the Pre-College Program start date.

International Students: Non-matriculated international students are prohibited from enrolling in Skidmore summer courses.

Our application opens January 8th and admission is rolling. Students in grades 10-12 are eligible to apply. Courses are filled on a first-enrolled basis, so we recommend applying early.

College Credit

Earn College Credit

Pre-College students earn college credit. Residential students will take two courses. Commuter students can take one or two.

 

Tuition

Tuition

Depending on your courses, commuter students can expect $3,000 – $8,000 and residential students can expect $8,000 – $10,000 in tuition and fees. Limited partial scholarships are available.
