Nutrition is the foundation for a healthy lifestyle. Understanding the basics of nutrition can help you know what to eat to help you feel your best so that you can enjoy all aspects of college life. Since diet habits can vary greatly, we pride ourselves in providing a variety of cuisines in all of our locations.
Dining Services encourages you to take your nutrition into your own hands. We’ve compiled a list of resources to get you started.

Special Diets
As your full-service dining provider on campus, Skidmore Dining Services provides you the opportunity to indulge in all of your eating pleasures. However, just as important, we're also here to help you find the foods that can accommodate your special requirements. If you have a food-related medical condition please email fs-staff-list@skidmore.edu or call 518-580-5850. The Dining Services Department will assist you in making your dining experiences at Skidmore both pleasurable and safe. Skidmore Dining Services will work directly with you to assist you in making menu selections and making sure that we have any unusual products or ingredients available if necessary. To increase your college dining experience and comfort, the newly redesigned Murray-Aikins Dining Hall also has a food preparation area dedicated to students with special dietary needs and food allergies. Helpful information you can provide includes:
