Research Proposal and Annotated Bibliography
Mon 3/5, 7-9pm, Ladd Religous Studies Lounge
Many religious studies classes end in a Research Paper that requires the students to start with a proposal that might be foreign to them in what to write, or how to format it. This academic session will walk students through how to write a research proposal including: figuring out a strong specific topic, writing a clear plan, and formatting it clearly for professors to understand. The follow up to this is most often writing an annotated bibliography, and we have the secret formula for the perfect annotation!! Come to PAC to learn all things annotated Bibliography and starting a research project
Intro Buddhism Quiz #4 Review Session
Wed 3/26, 7-9pm, Ladd Religious Studies Lounge
Students in Introduction to Buddhism have a Quiz on Evolving Traditions of Buddhism,
the film One Mind, and The Lotus SÅ«tra I and II. At PAC we will host a review session
of these materials and encourage students to work together to answer potential test
questions on terminology, content, and theories. This will help students prepare for
their fourth quiz and set them up for success in further quizzes in the class.

Anna Mathews '25 - PAC Captain
Major: Education Studies and Religious Studies Minor: Studio art 
½ûÂþÌìÌà Me: I am a Religious Studies Major and an Education Major on the certification track. I am a studio art minor because I am interested in becoming an art teacher after Skidmore. I chose to be a Religious Studies major because I took American Gods (RE 103) my Freshman fall and fell in love with the study of religion. I work a few jobs on campus beyond PAC, including Research Assistant in the Education Department, Community Assistant for ResLife, and a Tour Guide!
Why PAC?: I have found that going to PAC is a great resource to gain confidence in your classes, as a place to either get work done, or get additional support. I was extremely excited to have a Religious Studies PAC and am excited to continue growing the department community through PAC.
Fav Class: My favorite class that I took in the Religious Studies Department was American Gods with Xander Prince (RE105). This was the class that made me decide to become a religious studies major. It is such a great class to learn about the positionality of religion in America. I loved the conversations that started from this class, and I have taken what I have learned in this class into other classes, in and out of the Religious Studies Department.
Academic Advice: My biggest piece of advice is to write everything down. I find that at college I always am taking in a great deal of information and have a lot to remember to do. Writing things down, like task lists, reminders, and notes in class, allows me to not get overwhelmed and have confidence that I am not forgetting things I need to do or know.
