- Patricia Totten, who worked 45 years in the Office of Alumni Affairs, died May 25, 2014, at St. Peter's Hospice in Albany.
- Thomas M. Travis, a member of the information technology staff for almost 25 years, died suddenly at home on January 18, 2015.
- Richard Upton, professor emeritus of art, died October 18, 2013, in Sarasota, Florida, of complications of Parkinson's disease. He was 82.
- Dorothy W. Upton, Dorothy W. Upton, professor of English for 35 years, died January 10, 1963. She was 66.
- George B. Van Wagner, an endearing retired campus safety officer known for his enforcement of campus rules and his service to others, died on Friday, Nov. 11,2022. He was 85.
- Paul H. L. Walter, a former chair of the Chemistry Department who served in national leadership positions in both the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) and the American Chemical Society (ACS), died June 25, 2023.
- Alice F. Warren, longtime professor of history, died January 24, 1962, in Bedford Hills, N.Y.
- Shirley Webb, a longtime member of the staff of Scribner Library, died October 17, 2014, in Albany.
- Frances N. Weiss, a longtime member of the dining staff, died May 4, 2011, in Malta, N.Y. She was 91.
- Patricia Weller, of the Scribner Library, died Dec. 22, 2003, at her home in Saratoga Springs. She was 64.
- Phillip West, professor emeritus of English, died March 20, 1997, in Saratoga Springs. He was 60.
- Deborah A. Wetherby, a retired member of the Dining Services staff, died June 28, 2016. She was 59.
- Associate Professor Emeritus of English Alan Wheelock, a specialist in American literature who taught at Skidmore for more than two decades, died Oct. 26, 2020, of complications from cancer. He was 84.
- Bertha Irene (Clark) Whipple, a longtime member of Skidmore's housekeeping staff, died Jul, 27, 2013, at Wesley Health Center in Saratoga Springs. She was 73.
- Isabelle Williams, a dedicated professor emerita of music who helped to launch the Filene Music Program at Skidmore, died Monday, March 9, 2020. She was 87.
- Ruth Rowe Wilson, a former first lady of Skidmore College and an honorary member of the Class of 1961, died February 19, 2012, in Vacaville, Calif. She was 97.
- Charles Winney, longtime dining staffer, died December 8, 2006, in New Rochelle, N.Y.
