Schick Art Gallery and the Department of Art and Art History announce Anything But Realism, an exhibition of five highly regarded artists who either live or work in the Capital Region: Scott Brodie, David Carbone, JoAnne Carson, Mark Greenwold, and Deborah Zlotsky.

Three of the exhibiting artists will give a panel talk as part of the Summer SIX Visiting Artist lecture series: Scott Brodie, Mark Greenwold and Deborah Zlotsky will present slides and speak in Emerson Auditorium on Thursday, July 7th at 7 pm. David Carbone and JoAnne Carson will hold a dialogue in Schick Art Gallery on Tuesday, September 13th at 4 pm.

All five of these exhibiting artists are professors: JoAnne Carson, David Carbone, and Mark Greenwold are faculty members at the University at Albany; Scott Brodie and Deborah Zlotsky teach at the College of St. Rose. The pieces in this exhibition range in scale, content, and process. The viewer will be fascinated by each artist's unique expression of his or her artistic vision in this engaging exhibit.

The exhibition, reception and talks are FREE and open to the public. The gallery will be closed August 5th through September 5th for summer break. Summer hours are Monday through Friday 9 am to 4 pm and Saturday 1 pm to 4 pm. Hours beginning September 6th are Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday and Sunday 1 pm to 4:30 pm. This exhibition is sponsored in part by the Office of Special Programs.
