The Skidmore College studio art faculty consists of fifteen full-time and five part-time
visiting studio art faculty members, representing a wide variety of disciplines including
ceramics, communication design, drawing and painting, metals, photography, printmaking,
sculpture, textile design, and videography. In addition, there are seven art history
faculty members.
The Schick Art Gallery exhibitions committee has arranged for seven faculty to exhibit
in this show: Regis Brodie (clay), John Galt (sculpture), Deborah Hall (graphics),
David Miller (painting), Doretta Miller (painting), Victoria Palermo (sculpture),
and Iona Park (painting). These seven exhibiting artists will be able to show a larger
number of works than faculty members have exhibited in previous years. Similar numbers
of faculty members in small groups will rotate for annual faculty exhibitions in the
future, giving the entire faculty a chance to exhibit over the coming years. Skidmore
studio art faculty members have shown regionally and nationally over the past several
years and most have gallery affiliations in one or more major cities throughout the
country, are represented in numerous public and private collections, and have been
the recipients of significant awards.
