Lorraine J. Eisenbrown

Lorraine J. Eisenbrown, a longtime dining-services staff member, died March 2, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Born in Brooklyn, Lorraine spent her adult life as a resident of Saratoga Springs and Clifton Park. She began part-time as a kitchen assistant at Skidmore in 1986 and became a full-time employee in 1987. She took great pride in her work as a cook and in catering special events at Scribner House, remaining with the food service and catering programs for 25 years until she retired in 2011. 

Lorraine, known as a loving mother whom also had a talent for writing poetry and singing; she was a member of the Clifton Park Community Chorus. In addition, she did volunteer work in the community. 

Predeceased by son Rob and two siblings, she is survived by daughter Laurie (Markus) Bischof, daughter-in-law Christina Ricker, Brother Arthur (Jan) Abrams, as well as cousins and other family members and friends.
