Yelena Biberman-Ocakli, associate professor of political science, gave two talks on dual-use biotechnology and ran two wargames to gather data for her book project at the U.S. Naval War College (Ethics and Emerging Military Technology Program) in Newport, Rhode Island, and the U.S. Army War College (Department of Strategic Wargaming) in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
Hajar Hussaini, visiting assistant professor of English, from the anthology 鈥溾 (Guernica Editions, 2025). The anthology was on Sunday, April 6, at the Roshan Institute for Persian Studies at the University of Maryland and on Wednesday, February 26, at a at the University of Birmingham.
Bernardo Ramirez Rios, associate professor of anthropology and director of Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx studies, published "The Art of Fernando Valenzuela: Baseball and Chicanx Culture in California" in the book 鈥溾 (University of Texas Press, 2025).
