Paul Arciero, professor of health and human physiological sciences, was inducted in the . Arciero played no. 1 singles and doubles all four years, serving as team captain each of those years. He was ranked no. 32 in the nation (NCAA Div. II) in 1985, and was the first men's tennis player in school history to compete in the NCAA Div. II Championships (1985) and the NCAA Div. I Regional Championships at Princeton University (1984). He won the New England Collegiate Championships (NECC) in singles (1985), finished second in the Eastern Conference Athletic Championships (ECAC) in singles (1984), and was awarded the CCSU President's Recognition Award for Outstanding Athletic Achievement in tennis (1985).

Joowon Park, associate professor of anthropology and director of Asian Studies Program, was invited to give a lecture at Vassar College. The talk, titled, 鈥淜-pop in the DMZ, and Other Transborder Crossings,鈥 stems from his second book project.

Laurie Rabinowitz, assistant professor of education studies, David Salinas 鈥25 and Sophie A. Levy 鈥25, co-presented a paper, 鈥淎ntiracism in Child Development: Analyzing Our Own Raced Play Experiences,鈥 at the .
