Puzzling out the Trump candidacy

Many Skidmore courses have covered many political campaigns, but professors this year are teaching a very unconventional candidate in Donald Trump. They'll talk it through on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. at the Tang Museum.

The student Skidmore Republicans club is the organizer for "Teaching Trump," a faculty panel discussion to explore such questions as What's so different about Trump's campaign and candidacy? How are they important for America past, present, and future? How can this year's presidential election best be taught and studied?

Probing these issues will be psychologist Sheldon Solomon, historian Jennifer Delton, political scientist Christopher Mann, American studies scholar Andrew Lindner, and sociologist Pat Oles. The panelists will use two particular readings as launch points for their discussion: a by Delton and an .

The event is part of the Tang Museum's A More Perfect Union exhibition.
