April staff and faculty meetings
‌April staff and faculty meetings will take place this Friday, April 5, in Murray-Aikins Dining Hall, second floor. The will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. and the will take place at 3:30 p.m. Employees have the option to participate in either meeting by Zoom.

‌Solar eclipse viewing glasses and event ‌
‌From approximately 2:15 to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 8, the moon will gradually block the sun in the sky above Skidmore. At 3:27 p.m., the sun will be 98% percent blocked by the moon. The Office of Communications and Marketing will distribute free Skidmore-branded eclipse glasses for the community to pick up from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 4, 5, and 8 outside of the Skidmore Shop — while supplies last. All are then invited to bring their glasses and questions to Case Green for a viewing event featuring science faculty, including astrophysicist Mary Crone Odekon.

‌Yes! Days for accepted students
‌Tłó±đ College will be hosting Yes! Days for admitted students on Friday, April 5; Friday, April 12; and Monday, April 15. Please be aware that there will be an increase in traffic across campus on these dates, including at the North Broadway entrance and Murray-Aikins Dining Hall. Parking in multiple areas of campus, primarily near Arthur Zankel Music Center, will be affected. Everyone is invited to address questions, provide directions, or simply say hello to our guests as they chart the next four years of their academic journeys.

‌President’s office hours ‌ ‌ ‌
‌President Conner will hold office hours from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday, April 4. All faculty, staff, and students are invited to request a 10-minute, in-person appointment. To register, please email presoff@skidmore.edu. Requests will be handled in the order that they are received.

‌Middle States affirmation of accreditation
‌Skidmore is beginning the affirmation of accreditation through (MSCHE). An informational meeting about the process will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, in Murray-Aikins Dining Hall, and feature MSCHE Vice President Liaison Judith Sciple. ‌Hiring for Reunion weekend
‌Alumni Engagement is hiring current students and college-aged children of Skidmore employees to serve as Reunion ambassadors, assisting alumni engagement staff throughout Reunion weekend (Thursday, May 30, to Monday, June 2). Campus housing for that weekend is available to current students. ‌2024 Summer Pre-College ‌
‌Did you know is one of the top 10 in the country? Returning to in-person learning this year, high school juniors and seniors are invited to live on campus, take Skidmore classes, and earn college credit. Classes run July 1 to Aug. 3.

‌Give+Go move-out donation collection
‌From April 28 to May 18, students are invited to donate non-perishable food, clothes, and gently used home goods to our local nonprofit partners: Backstretch, Trinity Alliance, and Capital City Rescue Mission.
