BRIEF BIOGRAPHY

Katherine Hauser graduated from the University of California at Davis and received her MA and PhD from the University of California at Los Angeles. Katherine teaches in her areas of research and interest: nineteenth- and twentieth-century art and design, including a history of photography, as well as gender studies. Katherine's particular area of scholarship is twentieth-century representational art, an area in which she has lectured widely and had essays published in journals such as The Woman's Art Journal and GLQ: A Journal of Lesbian and Gay Studies.
